Folders identified as "Proof Sheets and Negatives" contain 8 x 10 inch color contact printed proof sheet photographs created by Ron Burda; most have a glassine envelope taped to the reverse containing the 35mm color negatives (cut into strips of approximately 6 frames each) used to print the sheet. Many of the sheets include handwritten notes made by Burda. "Transparencies" are 35mm color transparencies (positives; unmounted slide film). Folders identified as "Enlargements" contain 8 x 10 inch color print photograph enlargements created by Burda from his original 35mm color negatives or transparencies. Materials identified as "4 x 6 inch Color Prints" appear to be commercially-printed color enlargements from 35mm color negatives, and generally appear either in the original photo finisher's paper photo wallet or plastic comb-bound mini photo album (most often 1-Hour Foto Express Color Labs, San Jose, California). The corresponding roll of negatives (cut into strips) may be found tucked into the wallet or album, or may have been removed by Burda to a separate film strip page.
