Kimberley Diamond Miners and Mine Mananger, 1948. Photographic image of three miners standing side by side with a mine manger in front of the main shaft. The man on the far left is holding a diamond he has found embedded in the hard "blue ground" that he was blasting. He has brought it up to the shaft to claim the reward he will receive from the mine manager.
