Scope and Contents
Kimberley Miners in Food Line, 1948. Photographic image of several miners standing in line in front of a long two story building. The men are waiting to get food. The five thousand miners come from various ethnic groups so that they develop definite likes and dislikes about their food. This building is one of the central kitchens set up on each compound where special cooks belonging to particular ethnic groups cater to the individuals belonging to that ethnic group. There are no prints of this negative in the Constance Stuart Larrabee Collection. EEPA produced an 8x10 study print for reference purposes.
