Scope and Contents
Johannesburg Social Welfare, Poor Relief, 1947-48. Photographic image of a black South African man standing on the back of a truck handing a basket to a white South African woman. The basket is probably filled with food and other goods for her poor family. Behind her is a house where two children are sitting on the steps. Photograph by Constance Stuart Larrabee, 1948.
There are no prints of this negative in the Constance Stuart Larrabee Collection. EEPA produced an 8x10 study print for reference purposes.
