Scope and Contents
Bedroom, 1947-48. Photographic image of a room with dirty hard wood floorsand a bed. Beside the bed is a wooden chair with a small tin box on it. There is an empty wine glass on the floor near the bed and some socks. This is an example of the way poor families lived in Johannesburg, South Africa after the Second World War. Photograph by Constance Stuart Larrabee, 1948.
