Scope and Contents

Transkei Men With Pig, 1947. Two men are standing side by side. The one on the left is holding a spall pig. The man on the right has his hand on the pig. This takes place at the agricultural college where Transkei men learn Western methods of maintaining their farming and livestock. Photograph by Constance Stuart Larrabee, 1947.
In 1947, Constance Staurt Larrabee visited the Transkei. She was there researching the housing problems in Southern Africa.
There are no prints of this negative in the Constance Stuart Larrabee Collection. EEPA produced an 8x10 study print for reference purposes.
