Transkei Woman and Girl, 1947. The woman and girl are standing beside each other. The girl's back is facing the camera. The girl is wearing a skirt, a head wrap, and brass rings on her arms and legs. The woman is wearing several cloths wrapped around her, a dark head wrap and brass rings. Lying on the ground beside the woman is a dog. In the background are two homesteads. In 1947, Constance Staurt Larrabee visited the Transkei. She was there researching the housing problems in Southern Africa.
There are no prints of this negative in the Constance Stuart Larrabee Collection. EEPA produced an 8x10 study print and 6x6 contact print for reference purposes.
