Scope and Contents
Ndebele Men, 1936-1949. Photograph is a side view of Ndebele men sitting. Some of them are holding sticks. The man sitting closest on the far left has a stick with feathers on it. One man is standing behind all of them. They are wearing beaded arm, waist and wrist rings, beaded headdresses, and a beaded jewelry piece that crosses over their chest. They are dressed for a rare initiation ceremony. Photograph by Constance Stuart Larrabee, 1936-1949.
There are no prints of this negative in the Constance Stuart Larrabee Collection. EEPA produced an 8x10 study print for reference purposes.
