Scope and Contents
Ndebele Women and Child, 1936-1949. Two women are sitting on a step next to the doorway of a painted homestead. The woman's (on the left) eyes are closed. The other woman has her child standing beside her. The child is reaching for some beaded neck rings on the step. The women are wearing beaded headdresses decorated with coins, beaded necklaces and striped, colorful blankets. The child is also wearing similar jewelry and a beaded loincloth. There are no prints of this negative in the Constance Stuart Larrabee Collection. EEPA produced an 8x10 study print for reference purposes.
