Scope and Contents
Ndebele Woman With Mud, 1936-1949. Photographic image of a woman holding a clump of mud over a container. Beside the container is a small pile of mud, a toothbrush and another paint container with a tool in it. The mud is a mixture of clay and cow dung used to spread on the floors and walls of the homestead and left to dry before painting. Photograph by Constance Stuart Larrabee, 1936-1949.
There are no prints of this negative in the Constance Stuart Larrabee Collection. EEPA produced an 8x10 study print for reference purposes.
