Scope and Contents
Ndebele Women and Child, 1936-1949. A child is standing between to painted ball-capped pillars, which is the entrance to a homestead. The child is holding long tufts of grass that will be sewn together to make a broom. The child is wearing a beaded loincloth and jewelry. A woman is seated behind the child and watching. The woman has two containers in front of her and a pile of mud. The woman is wearing beaded and brass jewelry and a blanket attached with a large safety pin with a key ring hanging from it. There are no prints of this negative in the Constance Stuart Larrabee Collection. EEPA produced an 8x10 study print for reference purposes.
