Translated handwritten text on verso reads, "St Louis October 9, 1922. Dear Mrs. Anglade, we are happy to have received your charming, kind card and to know you are in good and perfect health. My husband and I are for the moment in good health thank god. What to tell you of St Louis, not very much except that it's always beautiful weather now, one would say it's the month of October in France. Here's a year done, with 11 months of our stay remaining in the colony and then the return to France, although we can't complain the climate is good. But not a single amusement, there aren't any department stores for the collections. I can't finish my windows blinds."
