Printed caption on recto reads: "Morocco; The Sok Gate, Mogador."
Printed caption on verso reads: "The Sok Gate, Mogador. The Sôk or Market Gate in Mogador is the entry to a busy and narrow thoroughfare, full of typical figures of Moorish buyers and sellers. Mogador itself is a clean but not very interesting town, with a population largely Jewish. It does an important trade in ostrich feathers, gums, gold, and wax."
