Original hand-written text on recto, "Tananarive 19/2/11. Dear old buddy. Still in good health? I am happy to know that for you things are going great. Please remember me to your mami. I just learned that René joined Tussèri; in my opinion he is ending up where he should have begun since he is much more suited for attorney dom than for industry - when I return I am certain to find my old friend wedded and heading a law firm. Here life remains unchanged. We get the pencils sharpened expertly by little eight or ten year olds and I assure you that it is worth all the women on earth. Nevertheless I would gladly visit with Aline or Therèse or elsewhere! All the best to you and three cheers for beastly love."
