Original hand-written text on recto, "R. Zani master worker TCE, Tananarive, Madagascar 29 October 1926. Jean Sir and Madame. We have arrived without too many incidents. The children are not too bored - They play with other Europeans who live across from us. Jacques speaks often about his mémé (granny) who will come and stay with us. Marie Therese has made a lot of progress in talking but I believe that he will be jeoulous of the other little girl; he always wants to be in my arms to be caressed. My husband has been assigned to the railways. I hope your health is good as well as that of Suzanne and Maurise and your family. Good tidings from us to Simone as well as your employees - Please accept dear Sir and madame our best friendships."
