Printed text on verso reads: "Vollbehr=Künstlerpostkarten "Kamerun" / 4. Der Palast Njojas und die Basler Missionskirche. Der Palast ist 81,60 m breit und 150 m lang. Derselbe ist, wie auch die Kirche, aus den blattrippen der Raphiapalmen und ungebranntem Lehm erbaut. Die Basler Missionskirche ist von 1000 Eingeborenen an einem Tage erbaut worden Im Vordergrunde liegt eine Götzentrommel."
Translated caption reads: "Vollbehr = Artist postcards "Cameroon" / 4. The palace of Njoja and the Basel Mission Church. The palace is 81.60 m wide and 150 m long. The palace is, like the church, built from the ribs of raphia palm leaves and unfired clay. The Basel Mission Church was built by 1000 natives in one day. In the foreground is a fetish drum."
