Manuscript message on recto, address and postmark on verso.
Translated message reads: "Ernest, by every mail do me the favor of sending me the Paris journal and the Crequion. Dear friends, to this day I have enjoyed excellent health on the ship as well as on arrival in Africa. For more details see the letter that I have written home. Impossible to write at greater length now. I shall do that with the next mailing. I expect as soon as possible a letter from Le Coq. Yours sincerely."
