Scope and Contents

Printed text on recto reads: "114. Congo Belge; La récolte du coton. M. Franck. Ministre des Colonies, en route, examine le coton produit par les cultures indigènes, dirigés par les agronomes du Gouvernement. / Belgisch-Congo; De Katoenoogst. M. Franck, Minister van Koloniën op reis, onderzoekt het katoen voortgebracht door den inlandschen akkerbouw onder toezicht der staatslandbouwkundigen." Translated postcard caption reads, "114. Belgian Congo. The cotton harvest. Mr. Franck. The Minister of the Colonies, en route, examines the cotton product by the native cultures, guided by the government agronomists."
Manuscript message and address on verso, message reads: "Voici l'adresse de M. Louis. Paul Louis - 26, Rue de Pascale. Il aurait besoin de la villa à partir du 1er juillet, car il ne quitte Boma qu'au mois de mai. Mille baisers." Translated message reads: "Here is the address of M. Louis. Paul Louis - 26, Rue de Pascale. He would need the villa after the first of July as he is only leaving Boma in the month of May. Thousand kisses."
Postmarked postage stamp on verso. Additional postage stamp printed on verso.
