Manuscript message and address on verso, message reads: "Cher Fernand, le petit a trompé ta surveillance. Il est rentré dimanche. Faut croire qu'il préfère Couillet à Jumet ou qu'il se doutait que nous n'avions pas le temps d'aller le rechercher. Maintenant c'est à toi à venir le voir. Bonjour de lui. Amitiés de nous." Translated message reads: "Dear Fernand, the kid has eluded your vigilance and came back Sunday. One would have to believe that he prefers Couillet to Jumet or that he suspected that we don't have the time to go and get him. Now it's you turn to come see him. Greetings from him. Hello from us."
