Scope and Contents

Translated postcard caption reads, "Rungu. A Bomokandi Rapid."
Translated message reads: "There is really no more reasons for one than for the other but that is the way it is; Rest assured, dear friend, that I am not any less delighted with your good wishes, and if I answer so frankly to the doubts that you expressed, it is because I am sure that you would never believe that I harbored some ulterior motive. I am so happy to see that we have established between us this friendly custom! And if on some occasion I was mistaken, about Saint Jeanne tell me right away. I find this majestic rapid most beautiful but I must confess that I am not in the least tempted to go see it. The life of the missionary sister does not attract me in the least despite the beauty of the calling. So long, dear and excellent friend, thank you from the bottom of my heart, with my most affectionate greetings and my warmest regards. Marie-Thérèse."
