In the foreground view of square surrounded by palm trees and people walking in the street, in the background minaret of a mosque.
Manuscript on verso reads: "Mademoiselle Marie - Je ne puis me permettre le tutoiement que j'emploie avec vos soeurs car je les aies connues si petite[s] si petite[s] mais vous une future grande artiste !!!! - Je vous le souhaite de tout coeur maintenant que vous avez un an de plus vous ne pleurez plus aussi facilement vous abimeriez vos yeux - Je vous souhaite une bonne santé et de bons divertissements- Mme Berthe."
