Scope and Contents
At left is Isaac Osazuwa, 17, of Benin City, with three rings on his ankle, holding keys to door to the Oba's palace courtyard. At right is Robinson Eguagie, 16, of Benin City, with one ring on his right ankle. This photograph was taken when Eliot Elisofon was on assignment for Life magazine and traveled to Africa from August 18, 1959 to December 20, 1959.
