Scope and Contents
Original title reads, "Workers on structural steel, working on addition to big Oji River Power Station, which has a present generating capacity of 10,000 kilowatts. Addition will be completed by midyear 1960. Big structure of yellow steel will be turbine house and will house generators. The Oji river station serves Onitsha, Nkalagu and Enugu." This photograph was taken when Eliot Elisofon was on assignment for Life magazine and traveled to Africa from August 18, 1959 to December 20, 1959.
