The African Timber & Plywood Limited plant on the Ethiope River, Sapele, Nigeria

Original title reads, "The African Timber & Plywood Limited at Sapele has 2,000 employes at the mill and 1,500 working in the forests. It is owned by The united Africa Company Ltd., a giant trading company which dominates many areas of business in Nigeria and West Africa, and which is in turn owned by Unilever. African Timber & Plywood Limited fells timber within about a 300-mile radius around Sapele, bringing the logs as much of the way as possible by water."
