"The Wodaabe are pastoral nomads who keep mahogany-coloured cattle. Besides Zebu cattle, the Wodaabe keep sheep, goats, donkeys and camels. only some Wodaabe own camels (riding camels and transport camels). This photograph was taken when Eliot Elisofon traveled to Africa from March 17, 1970 to July 17, 1970.
