Scope and Contents
"At Kom Ombo, a new temple was started under Ptolemy VI. The building was conceived as a double temple with two processional axes, one leading to the sanctuary of Haroeris and the other to the sanctuary of Sobek." [Arnold D., 1999: Temples of the Last Pharaohs. Oxford University Press]. This photograph was taken when Eliot Elisofon was working on "The Nile" project and traveled to Africa from March 14, 1961 to March 31, 1961, visiting Egypt.
