"The remaining pylons on the north-south axis are currently undergoing restoration by combined Franco-Egyptian teams. The eight pylon was built by Hatshepsut and the ninth and tenth by Horemheb, who make considerable use of stone quarried from the temples of Akhenaten (Akhenaton). The tenth pylon served as the southern entrance to the precinct of Amun and led, through its gate, to the sphinx-lined processional way which connected with the precinct of Mut."
