"Begun by Sethos I (Seti I, Library of Congress Authority Headings) and completed by his son, Ramesses II (Ramses II, L.C.A.H.), this temple was built of fine limestone and is one of the most impressive religious structures in Egypt. The southern wing of the temple's unusual L-shaped plan contains cult chapels as well as a hall where the barques of the temple's god were kept, and various chambers and magazines. Of particular interest is the narrow hallway which connects the second hypostyle hall with this wing. On its inner wall, opposite the fine relief of Sethos I and his son -the young Ramesses II- lassooing a bull, is one of the few surviving egyptian king lists."
