Scope and Contents
During his trip to Southern Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), Elisofon visited Bulawayo, an industrial center that produces tires, building materials, radios, textiles & autos; site of several colleges.This photograph was taken when Eliot Elisofon was on assignment for Life magazine and traveled to Africa from January 8, 1947 to end of June 1947.
