Scope and Contents
Worcester, in the Western Cape South Africa, is the largest town in the Breede River Valley, and is located 120km north-east of Cape Town on the N1 highway north to Johannesburg. This photograph was taken when Eliot Elisofon was on assignment for Life magazine and traveled to Africa from January 8, 1947 to end of June 1947.
