The photograph depicts woman with corn-row hairstyle. During his trip to Nigeria, Elisofon visited Ife, oldest town of Yoruba people who consider it a holy city & the legendary birthplace of mankind. This photograph was taken when Eliot Elisofon traveled to Africa from March 17, 1970 to July 17, 1970.
