Scope and Contents
Original title reads, "The Institute of Administration at Zaria, where Northerners are trained to fill clerical and administrative posts in local government units throughout the Northern Region. In the picture, we see some students studying town planning, grouped around a model which is used to illustrate some of the problems in town planning and their solutions. The instructor, with a pointer, is Mallam Yusufu Kasaure." [Elisofon field notes, August 1959-December 1959]
This photograph was taken when Eliot Elisofon was on assignment for Life magazine and traveled to Africa from August 18, 1959 to December 20, 1959.
