Tape #9 rough copy of selections intended for release, a collection of live recordings of Doc Watson (guitar and banjo) and Jean Ritchie (dulcimer) playing and singing Appalachian folk ballads, reels, and square dance tunes. Accompanied by Roger Sprung on banjo and fiddle. Made soon after their first meeting and recorded live on location by Ritchie's husband, George Pickow at Gerde's Folk City in New York in 1963. Most released on FA2426 and released on SFW40005/ Box indicates "Jean Ritchie and Doc Watson in the Big City" CDR copy
