General

CDR copy FW-ASCH-7RR-2808 is one of the series of at least six tapes of interviews of Kiowa Indians recorded by Harry Smith (See above). Similar to FW-ASCH-7RR-2807, this tape contains more singing of predominantly sentimental country songs sung by Litha Chesney, this time recorded on 4/24/1964. A few folk songs - or possible folk songs - are A Single Life Choose, Chickasaw Nation, Careless Love and The Cowboys' Christmas Ball. (The latter song is in the Lomax collection, "Cowboy Songs".)
