CDR copy FW-ASCH-7RR-2514 is reel 1 of Workshop I, on the subject of singing styles, recorded 6/27/1962. Before they discuss styles in depth, each singer sings one song (or one plus fragments). Reel 1 doesn't get beyond the singing portion of the workshop, although some of the singers comment briefly on style before singing. Singers include Bessie Jones, Roscoe Holcomb, Jean Ritchie, Jean Redpath, Slim Critchlow, Andrew Rowan Summers and The New Lost City Ramblers. Sam Hinton is the moderator. Dr. Charles Seeger is present at the workshop, but doesn't speak on this reel. This reel was not well-recorded.
