Folkways 8367 CDR copy FW-ASCH-7RR-0839 contains steel band rehearsals of three selections. Pete Seeger is heard directing the rehearsal, which is presumably in preparation for recording The Folkways record, "The Steel Drums of Kim Loy Wong with the University Settlement Steel Band - An Instructional Record Supervised and Edited by Pete Seeger" (FW8367). (Kim's name is mentioned by Pete on the tape.) Kim originally was from Trinidad. The University Settlement is on New York's lower East side (per record liner notes, which can be consulted for additional information.)
