Recorded in Finney Chapel, Oberlin College on Mar. 2, 1953 (1st-5th work); recorded at College of Pacific on Dec. 14, 1953 (6th-11th works). Compact disc. Program notes by James Newman, Wayne Morrill, and Nat Hentoff ([5] p.) inserted in container. Performer(s): The Dave Brubeck Quartet (Dave Brubeck, piano; Paul Desmond, alto sax; Ron Crotty, bass; Lloyd Davis, drums (Oberlin); Joe Dodge, drums (College of Pacific)).
