Scope and Contents
Anacostia Neighborhood Museum (ANM) opening day festivities: invocation, singing of the National Anthem, welcome address, speeches, benediction, and ribbon cutting. Speakers include S. Dillon Ripley, Robert Hooks, and Stanley Anderson; and a performance by a group from Our Lady of Perpetual Help. S. Dillon Ripley presents John Kinard with a guest book to record the visitors who come to ANM. Opening day visitors are interviewed regarding their thoughts on ANM. Additional interviewees include John Kinard, and other Smithsonian and ANM staff members about the opening of ANM.
