Scope and Contents

Southeast Neighborhood House executive committee meeting to gather and discuss fundraising ideas, community partnerships, community development programs, program objectives, and budget to execute and implement policies and programs. Larry Covington, president of the Board of Directors of Southeast Neighborhood House, explains the impact of Southeast Neighborhood House's work on the problems in Anacostia. Covington provides a tour and explanation of Southeast Neighborhood House facilities and explains the work of Southeast Neighborhood House including counseling and informal education programs; and home management, youth development, and daycare facilities. The treasurer of the Board of Directors of Southeast Neighborhood House speaks of the accomplishments of the Board and work of Southeast Neighborhood House. Vivian Smith, vice president of the Board of Directors of Southeast Neighborhood House, speaks of the program objectives for 1973 including counseling and referral, increase senior citizen activity, and nutrition program.
