[Miscellaneous Plans and Drawings]: a bird's eye view of Hereford Garden Suburb.

Hereford Garden Suburb was a planned development on the outskirts of the city of Hereford, England, constructed between 1906 and 1908. The lantern slide was made by H. E. Stanley, 290 Westminster Street, Providence, Rhode Island. It appears to depict a designer's rendering of the intersection of Barrs Court Road (bottom) and Bulmers Avenue. In the center of the drawing Bulmers Avenue forks to the right and Lingen Avenue to the left. Photographs of that area under construction appear in J. S. Nettlefold, "Hereford Garden Suburb: The Value of Cooperation," The Town Planning Review, Vol. 4, No. 2 (July 1913), pp. 145-149. Although the rendering differs from what was actually built, several structures are still recognizable in contemporary (21st century) street views.
