The low buildings to the right of the top of the monument are the Main Navy and Munitions Buildings, "temporary" buildings constructed in 1918. Additional "temporary" buildings were constructed in 1942 on the site of the athletic fields shown in the image. These dates, plus the card's being a "linen" card, indicate its date span.
