General
Work on this project on Hillcrest Avenue began with removal of a spindly rose garden in preparation for installation of a flagstone terrace. Because the house sat high off the ground stairs were then constructed down to the terrace level. Due to the sloping character of the site, the terrace itself was defined at one end by a 16 inch wall topped with stone coping. New landscaping around the house and terrace replaced the unfortunate rose bushes.
Persons associated with the garden include: Lois W. Poinier (garden designer) and Walter J[ames] A. Connor and Rebecca R. Connor (former owners).
