General
This small project on Hillcrest Avenue involved construction of a low, woven wooden fence to provide privacy while maintaining a friendly ambience. The fence also served to separate the yard and garden from the home's driveway. A garden border was planted along the fence and side of the garage and included one of Lois W. Poinier's signature small ponds. It also provided a visual transition to the garden area behind the garage in which a lawn was enclosed by mature trees and shrubs.
Persons associated with the garden include: Lois W. Poinier (garden designer) and Edwin Wallace Wilkinson and Helen Goddard Steinhilper Wilkinson (former owners).
