General
This garden was designed by Lois Poinier about 1969 and was located on Minnisink Road in Short Hills. The slides document the appearance of the site before, during, and after installation. The site featured a stone-walled flagstone terrace that took advantage of the natural slope of the property. The terrace was complemented by a fountain, azalea plantings, and flowering trees, providing a pleasant space for outdoor living. Additional plantings were extended along the back of the house.
Persons associated with the garden include: Lois W. Poinier (garden designer, ca. 1969) and William Joseph Bumsted, 1919-2012 (former owner).
