General
Situated at the corner of Riverside Avenue and Margaret Street, the mansion in this image was built in 1906 by Henry Clark (1829-1911), a Scottish-born lumber dealer. Clad in marble, the house had a striking two-story portico with six Corinthian columns. Clark lived there with his third wife, Mary Elizabeth (1867-1953), who left the property after her husband's death.
