Sturdivant Hall, a antebellum house was completed in 1853. Thomas Helm Lee, architect, and a cousin of General Robert E. Lee, was commissioned by Colonel Edward T. Watts to build the ten room mansion. - From a 5/1983 brochure of Sturdivant. Italianate wall in rear garden not original.
