General

This ¾ acre property, established in 1997, is positioned on a bluff that overlooks the Tennessee River and Smokey Mountains and contains multi-level gardens. It features a grand Arts and Crafts, Tudor style home that had belonged to one of the owner's family and was sold in the 1950s. When the current owners acquired the property, they had to irradicate invasive species such as English ivy, Japanese Honeysuckle, Wisteria, and Euonymus that covered the bluffside. The flat front yard is lined by a well-maintained hedge and floral beds. A stone walkway flanked with flower beds leads from the house to the backyard. A shrub-lined archway also acts as an entryway to the backyard. The back of the property is lined with curving flowerbeds containing vibrant purple and yellow flowers, with dense woodlands on either side. The sloped lot has various tiers containing beds of native and perennial shrubs and bulbs lined with a stacked stone border. The main focal points of the property are its astonishing views, the stone staircase that leads down to different levels of the property, and modern stone sculptures throughout the gardens. One stone sculpture is positioned on a stope outcrop at the bluff's edge.
