General

Established in 1971, the flower portion of this garden site once measured about 18 by 72 feet, but now consists of four beds, each 14 by 18 feet. Predominantly planted in perennials, the garden includes peonies, gaura, penstemon, foxgloves, iris, and some herbs such as lavender. There is a vegetable garden whose fence is planted with clematis and climbing roses. Deutzia and white flowering shrubs are planted throughout the property. Tree specimens include crabapple, dogwood, magnolia, stewartia, Carolina Silverbell, fringe, and hawthorn 'Crimson Cloud'.
