General
Little is known about this garden in northern New Jersey. It was situated around a Georgian style mansion with a Corinthian-columned porch/portico. Extensive lawns and garden borders provided vistas to and from the house. Mature wisteria flanked the porch/portico, while an intricate knot-like planting of boxwood was a unique feature. The gardens were surrounded by woodlands, providing privacy as well as a contrast to the landscape plantings.
