Scope and Contents note

Artwork includes numerous pencil and ink sketches by Moses Soyer. Most of the sketches are of human figures and faces and many are sketched on reused pieces of paper, such as brochures, programs, or blank postcards. Also found is a complete set of illustrations by Soyer for the First Book of Ballet, written by Noel Streatfeild, and published in 1953. Additional artwork includes a valentine Soyer made for his wife, Ida, a drawing by his granddaughter, Nancy, and a pencil drawing by one of Soyer's students, Ray Sherwin, of Soyer in his studio.
